About The Position

The Aircraft Mechanic II (H-1) Tool Room Coordinator is responsible for performing a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train, and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions. This position involves providing input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), preparing Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD), and assisting in the recommendation of changes to Maintenance Work Orders (MWO). The individual must prioritize workloads and lead teams through complex aircraft tasks. Mechanic IIs can inspect Mechanic IIs and Is, maintaining and repairing aircraft structures and components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. The role requires applying technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition or operation. The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts, as well as a broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair. The job requires working knowledge of technical publications and the ability to lead teams through complex tasks.
