About The Position

Aircraft Mechanic I electrician/avionic technician assigned to work in the Special Repair Activity (SRA) component repair section.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Must have own tools/toolbox.
  • Technical service school (MOS) 15F/N or current equivalent training.
  • Minimum requirement of (5) years' experience.
  • Must have or be able to be certified in both basic and advanced soldering techniques.
  • Must be able to pass solder vision testing.
  • Must be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Must be familiar with ACN or other electronic logbook system.

Responsibilities

  • Build or repair cables and wiring harnesses of 3-100 feet in length.
  • Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical components such as gun motors, control heads, deicing equipment, power amplifiers, power converters, MFCU grips, etc.
  • Repair equipment down to the individual component level.
  • Work with SIMO, AAMD, and other vendors to integrate new equipment and procedures into the SRA.
  • Assist in developing Aircraft Wire Testing System (AWTS) testing procedures and harnesses for component testing in the SRA and on the flight line.
  • Interpret schematics and troubleshoot integrated electronic circuits down to component level.
  • Operate electronic test equipment, including Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Audio / RF Generator, RF Meter, Frequency Counter, etc.
