About The Position

You will be the Aircraft Mechanic for the Quick-Response Team which is responsible for maintaining F‑35 aircraft readiness worldwide. This position is located at our Luke AFB, AZ site. As the Aircraft Mechanic you will be responsible for delivering rapid, high‑quality maintenance support for F‑35 airframes in dynamic, global environments. You are a collaborative, self‑starting Aircraft Mechanic with a proven ability to make timely decisions in high‑tempo environments. You thrive on solving complex maintenance challenges, enjoy frequent travel, and are committed to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. Physical requirements – regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to its employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Requirements

Must have 2-years of hands-on F-35 maintenance experience to include working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include, Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities.
Requires minimum of 4 years hands-on working experience in 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft.
Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
Willingness to accommodate a heavy travel schedule with very short notice (more than 50% travel).

Nice To Haves

An FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license is desirable.
Proficiency with LM’s F-35 Nose-to-Tail maintenance concept.
Low Observable/Structures Maintenance Experience.
Avionics Systems Maintenance Experience.
Weapons/Egress Systems Maintenance Experience.

Responsibilities

Execute nose‑to‑tail maintenance on F‑35 aircraft, ensuring airworthiness and mission readiness.
Rapidly deploy to customer sites, often with less than 24‑hour notice, supporting pop‑up tasks worldwide.
Coordinate with the Interim Contractor Support infrastructure to integrate efforts and share expertise.
Maintain a valid flight line driver competency card and meet all physical performance standards.
Document maintenance actions and provide clear feedback to stakeholders.
