About The Position

Tactical Air is currently seeking an Egress Technician to join our Maintenance team. This position will support Tactical Air's fleet of fighter aircraft with over 75 years of combined experience in tactical aviation maintenance and more than 30 years of military adversary contract maintenance. The Maintenance staff are a dedicated team comprised of experienced, egress and ALSS technicians, tactical aircraft mechanics, avionics technicians, and logisticians who all work towards ensuring safe and seamless ground maintenance operations. The ideal candidate for the Egress and Life Support Systems Technician position will have a background in egress, be professional, highly productive, disciplined, team-oriented, technically astute, and responsive to the needs of the company, colleagues, and customers. This position will report to the Director of Maintenance and will perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification, and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment. This position will apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and to provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other teammates as needed. Cross training and other duties may be assigned at leadership discretion.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED with at least 2 year of applicable work experience.
  • Qualified Egress "A" or Air Force School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Current work experience in aircraft maintenance occupational field, preferably in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor (preferred T-38 or F-5).
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check

Nice To Haves

  • Egress CDI (Collateral Duty Inspector) or 7 Level CDQAR
  • Experience with Martin Baker Ejection Seat
  • Martin Baker PSP Packing
  • Previous Parachute Packing experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification, and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and to provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other teammates as needed.
  • Perform maintenance on egress systems specializing in ejection seat maintenance, ECS packs, cabin pressure, and oxygen systems to ensure crew safety.
  • Remove, Install, Arm and DE-Arm Cartridge Actuated Device and Propulsion-Actuated Device (CAD/PAD).
