Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and an Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
  • Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
  • Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety rules during the performance of duties.
  • Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal.
  • We're looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment, where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.

Responsibilities

  • Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
  • Removal and installation of panels and components.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
  • De-fueling aircraft.
  • Engine removal/installations.
  • Operating ground support equipment.
  • Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
  • Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
  • Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
  • Immediately notify the Lead Mechanic of any problem areas such as parts, materials, workmanship, or airworthiness issues.
  • Provides the Lead Mechanic with a detailed report of work progression and open items to be included in the shift turnover log.
  • Proper tagging of aircraft components, parts, and panels appropriately stored, including racks by aircraft.
  • Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
