About The Position

Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) generally inspects, repairs, overhauls, upgrades, and cleans aircraft. Aircraft Maintenance Technician's also provide general and routine maintenance and do so in accordance with all Federal Aviation Administration regulations, all aircraft manufacturer's recommendation and all company policies and procedures. Additionally, AMTs are required to maintain detailed records concerning all work conducted, inspections performed, conditions found, and safety compliance. We are currently only seeking experience with a minimum of 5+ years experience. U.S. Persons Only: All maintenance, repair, Inspection, or handling of these aircraft, their systems, or associated defense technical data must be conducted solely by U.S. persons, as defined under ITAR §120.62. This includes U.S. Citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents (green card holders), and protected individuals under asylum.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience.
  • U.S. Persons Only: All maintenance, repair, Inspection, or handling of these aircraft, their systems, or associated defense technical data must be conducted solely by U.S. persons, as defined under ITAR §120.62. This includes U.S. Citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents (green card holders), and protected individuals under asylum.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required. Must successfully obtain a Driver badge through the Southern California Logistics Airport.
  • Understands the differences of the required FAR’s.
  • Proficiency in the use of tools applicable to performing basic sheet metal repairs and alterations
  • Knowledge of basic aircraft maintenance and repairs
  • Must be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals.
  • Must be able to perform all line maintenance functions unsupervised at any time.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft drawing and schematics.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • FAA Airframe or Powerplant Certificate a plus.
  • Prior military experience a plus.
  • Industry Related Experience - Aerospace/Airline/Aviation/FAA Compliance experience a plus.
  • Maintenance Repair Operation (MRO) – prior MRO experience a plus (C-Check, Avionics, Disassembly, Induct & React, Storage, Modifications).
  • Prior Fleet and or Airline Qualifications a plus.
  • Corridor Go or other Maintenance or ERP systems experience a plus.
  • Fluency in a second language, particularly Spanish, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Make required work order entries for discrepancies and corrective actions
  • Parts identification, read and interpret Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC)
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.
  • Use technical specifications, sketches, manuals, drawings, engineering instructions and FAA forms and publications to accomplish work assignment.
  • Maintains Company and FAA required records and inspection forms. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Plan and organize the sequence of your own work package in such a way as to promote safe, efficient operation and meet predetermined schedules in a timely manner.
  • Operate all types of information systems required to perform assigned tasks. Including but not limited to Company WEB based systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Interpret and perform to the requirements of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters and other approved/accepted data.
  • Apply applicable mathematical calculations to setup and use precision measuring tools, to measure gaps, heights, angles, hole diameters and depths.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and Company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned
