About The Position

The Mx Mechanic position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repair, modifications, and other maintenance of aircraft, components, and related equipment in accordance with standards and regulations. The role requires compliance with 14 CFR, manufacturer specifications, the GMM, company policies, and procedures, as well as methods accepted by the FAA and OSHA. The mechanic will work both inside and outside the hangar and at the airport terminal, troubleshooting aircraft systems, executing maintenance work orders, and ensuring all tools and materials are serviceable and compliant. Safety is a priority, and the mechanic must maintain a clean and safe working environment while updating supervisors on work progress and completing necessary documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an A&P mechanic or airline experience.
  • Experience using a computer for information lookup and data input.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repair, modifications, and other maintenance of aircraft and components.
  • Comply with 14 CFR, manufacturer specifications, GMM, company policies, and FAA/OSHA methods.
  • Troubleshoot all aircraft systems.
  • Execute maintenance work orders and use necessary tools and equipment.
  • Verify calibrated tooling and serviceable condition of materials and parts.
  • Initiate material requests and evaluate work areas for safety.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Update supervisors on work progress and complete shift turnover reports.
  • Complete internal company forms and maintenance records.
  • Provide coaching and on-the-job training as directed.
  • Participate in shift meetings and submit suggestions for operational improvements.
  • Access company intranet for GMM and aircraft manuals.
  • Adhere to recurrent training and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
