About The Position

The position involves performing system and function checkouts of aircraft components, including static checks, hydraulic function checks, flight control rigging, fuel system checks, and oxygen checks, in accordance with approved maintenance procedures or FAA requirements. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that every component is inspected, installed, and function tested according to approved procedures. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning systems safely and in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures, all while adhering to established schedules. Accurate logging of work orders and attendance is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Able to read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts and schematics
  • Understanding of airframe systems such as basic electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, flight controls and engines
  • Must have required tools
  • Able to work on maintenance stands, extending to 25 feet
  • Able to work in confined spaces and in unusual positions
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must not be allergic to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents
  • Able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Occasional travel required

Nice To Haves

  • Turbine jet aircraft training and experience - preferably on Falcon aircraft
  • Experience using computers and aircraft diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system and/or function checkouts of components per approved maintenance procedures or FAA requirements.
  • Remove and replace components on the aircraft per approved maintenance procedures or FAA requirements.
  • Ensure every component is inspected, installed, and function tested to approved procedures.
  • Complete assigned work, including troubleshooting and repairs of malfunctioning systems in a safe manner.
  • Accurately log on Labor Data Collection System for work orders and attendance tracking.
