About The Position

The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries. This role involves providing technical direction to flightline personnel, managing training programs, coordinating maintenance efforts, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of general flightline maintenance.
  • Must be A&P certified and have been a line maintenance mechanic for at least 2 years.
  • A thorough working knowledge of applicable technical publications and ability to accurately interpret technical data.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and leadership ability.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain a flightline driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • A thorough understanding of the SAM mission, or Aircraft Flightline Supervisor is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction to all assigned flightline personnel.
  • Formulate, manage, plan and schedule training for personnel to become proficient in maintaining aircraft assigned to the 89AW.
  • Coordinate maintenance efforts with production supervisor and Maintenance Operation Control Center (MOCC) to ensure all mission scheduled aircraft are Fully Mission Capable (FMC).
  • Review aircraft records to ensure required maintenance has been performed and documentation is accurate.
  • Manage Flightline section consisting of 98 personnel and directly supervise an 18-man expeditor team.
  • Ensure personnel practice good housekeeping, tool control, and safety at all times.
  • Review, evaluate, and take corrective actions based on quality assurance reports.
  • Assist personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components.
  • Manage continuous on-the-job-training (OJT) of maintenance personnel and new employees.
  • Provide annual performance reviews for flightline personnel.
  • Co-chair weekly scheduling meetings to ensure inspections and scheduled maintenance are accomplished efficiently.
  • Work with Program Managers to ensure compliance with Service Bulletins and Air Worthiness Directives.
  • Manage all Programmed Depot Maintenance input and return schedules.
  • Perform other duties related to the occupational field as assigned.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $115-125K, determined by work location and additional factors.
