About The Position

You will be the F-35 Maintenance Senior Manager for Edwards Air Force Base flight test site. What You Will Be Doing As the F-35 Maintenance Senior Manager you will be responsible for providing supervisory direction to the Flight Test Maintenance Support personnel deployed to Edwards. Specifically this includes aircraft maintenance direction; cost & schedule management; cross-IPT (Integrated Project Team) coordination & integration; and personnel actions such as performance appraisals, staffing & disciplinary actions for both salaried and hourly personnel. Your responsibilities will include: Detailed planning, requirements management, risk management, and flight test maintenance operations management. Providing close coordination directly with the Flight Test Director and F-35 Senior Site Leader deployed to Edwards for all maintenance activities associated with the management of flight test operations. Further Information About This Opportunity This position is at Edwards Air Force Base, CA Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

Extensive professional experience in managing flight test or high tempo operational maintenance and environment.
Experience managing aircraft maintenance workforce.
Position requires extensive demonstrated leadership skills.
Experience in areas of cost/schedule, risk management.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Candidate should possess a broad military aircraft support background and advanced interpersonal and communication skills to be effective in a high tempo flight test environment.
Ability to effectively communicate with local base authorities critical for success.
Prior United States Air Force or civilian equivalent operational maintenance & logistics experience highly desirable; specifically, organizational, and intermediate maintenance experience.
Should be considered an expert authority in the maintenance, operations, and support disciplines.
Flight test support and planning experience to include retrofit management desirable.
Familiarity with the F-35 logistics, test and evaluation requirements, autonomic logistics information system (ALIS), technical publications approach and supportable low observable support concept beneficial.
Knowledge of both pilot and maintainer systems & processes, development and technical directive implementation and logistics support.
