The Aircraft Maintenance position plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational safety and efficiency of aircraft. This position involves extensive hands-on work in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft to ensure compliance with safety regulations and performance standards. Essential Functions: Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft components in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. Conduct thorough inspections to identify any wear, tear, or damage, and carry out necessary repairs. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues. Adhere to maintenance manuals, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements during all maintenance activities. Document all maintenance activities accurately in maintenance logs and records. Collaborate with engineering teams and provide feedback on aircraft performance and any issues encountered. Ensure that all tools, materials, and equipment are calibrated correctly and maintained in good working condition. Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance maintenance processes and practices. Performs flightline operations, aircraft inspections, or repairs, sometimes in confined spaces and inclement weather. Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering documentation. Ability to obtain certification to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, aircraft support equipment, and towing vehicles. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts. Ability to climb, including ladders, stairs, and portable stands and navigate these with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to lift and/or move objects, up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
