About The Position

Responsible to Maintenance Control Supervisor in performing those duties assigned. Ensure all downing workorders are completed and correctly documented and that aircraft is safe for flight in accordance with government Instructions, manuals and procedures. Assign aircraft to flight schedule ensuring that aircraft material condition is properly configured for the assigned mission and aircraft is capable of performing that mission with existing systems and adequate flight hours remaining. Immediately notify the Maintenance Control Supervisor of changes in aircraft status. Ensure completion of the aircraft flight record form and coordinate the disposition of all related documents. Be thoroughly familiar with all requirements contained in government Instructions, manuals and procedures which relate to assignment of aircraft for scheduled missions. Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area. Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations. Responsible for adhering to the Tool Control Program. Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment. Document work accomplished on government and company electronic and/or manual Information Systems. Assist in ensuring the safety, security, inventory and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment. Perform other related duties within the job classification. Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language. Must speak in a clear, concise manner. May be required to use hazardous materials in performance of assigned duties. Be able to utilize two-way radio and/or intercom system. The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment which is typical of an office setting. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards. This classification activity is usually accomplished in an office-like environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office activities. May occasionally be required to lift objects whose weight exceeds 30 pounds.

Requirements

  • Safe for Flight Certifications
  • Valid State Operators License
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years specialized experience in Naval Aviation Maintenance Control processes and procedures.
  • Must meet any other qualification standards imposed by the government contract not covered by this agreement.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language.
  • Must speak in a clear, concise manner.
  • May be required to use hazardous materials in performance of assigned duties.
  • Be able to utilize two-way radio and/or intercom system.
