About The Position

Are you ready to deepen your experience in aviation inspections? We have an opportunity for you! As an Aircraft Inspector II, you will perform routine inspections independently, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards. You will gain more responsibility in inspection planning and documentation. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe (A), or Powerplant (P), or Repairman Certificate.
  • Experience with aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
  • Basic understanding of audit and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to aviation maintenance and/or inspection operations processes and procedures.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine aircraft inspections.
  • Plan and prepare for basic inspections.
  • Document and report findings.
  • Identify and correct minor non-conformities.
  • Maintain compliance with inspection schedules and timelines.
