About The Position

The Aircraft Electrical/Avionics Technician for the F-22 at Lockheed Martin is a critical role focused on servicing, repairing, and overhauling the electrical systems of F-22 aircraft to ensure their airworthiness. This position requires a detailed understanding of electrical systems and the ability to interpret engineering documentation. The technician will work in a dynamic environment at Langley Air Force Base, VA, and will be responsible for maintaining high safety and quality standards while performing technical tasks.

Requirements

  • Fighter Aircraft/Attack/Cargo/Utility Helicopters or similar aircraft Avionics/Electrical experience required.
  • Previously awarded a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power Plant, FAA certificate.
  • Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions and Aircraft Forms Documentation.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with F-22, F-35, F-16, F-15, F-18, AH-64, AH-1, CH-47, 46, 60, 53 or similar aircraft avionics/electrical experience.
  • Experienced in Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.
  • Knowledge of Modifications and Maintenance Nose to Tail Maintenance Concept.

Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, and overhaul F-22 aircraft electrical systems to ensure airworthiness.
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft electrical systems.
  • Incorporate engineering changes and replace worn or damaged components.
  • Adjust, repair, and replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
  • Read and interpret F-22 engineering drawings and technical manuals.
  • Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation.
  • Perform circuit analysis and trace relationships in signal flow.
  • Use complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators and distortion analyzers.
  • Apply Low Observable material/SAS maintenance as required.
