Aircraft Detailer
About The Position
Aircraft Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing the interior and exterior of aircrafts. This includes washing, waxing, polishing and buffing interior and exterior surfaces of the aircraft. The Detailer must be knowledgeable in the use of various cleaning products, materials and techniques to ensure that customer specifications are met. The Detailer must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that the job is completed accurately and on time. The Detailer must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend and stoop, and work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Clean and polish aircraft exteriors and interiors to maintain a high standard of appearance
- Remove dirt, grease, and debris from aircraft surfaces
- Use cleaning products, polishes, and waxes to clean, shine, and protect surfaces
- Polish and buff aircraft surfaces to a high gloss
- Apply decals and striping to aircraft
- Check aircraft for any damages and report them to supervisors
- Maintain and store all equipment, tools, and supplies in an organized manner
