Position Summary Responsible for the safe conduct of flights to which they are assigned Pilot-in-Command (PIC). Operates under the direction of the chief pilot and has final authority over the aircraft's operation. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and foreign regulations, as well as departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years professional pilot experience.
ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) with multiengine land rating.
FCC (Federal Communication License) Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
Aircraft specific training, as required.
Type rating in Company aircraft or ability to attend factory training, pass check-ride, and be able to meet requirements of FAR (Federal Aviation Administration) 61.58 PPE (Pilot Proficiency Exam).
English proficient.
Valid automobile driver's license.
Valid passport.
Valid and current FAA Class 1 or Class 2 medical certificate.
Minimum of 2000 hours total fixed wing, 500 hours turbojet, 1000 hours logged as PIC (Pilot-in-Command).
Knowledge of GOM (General Operations Manual) procedures, SMS (Safety Management System), AFM (Aircraft Flight Manual), aircraft QRH (Quick Reference Handbook), ERP (Emergency Response Plan Manual), and standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the PIC position.
Strong work ethic.
Strong customer service skills, high attention to detail, adaptable, and accountable.
Ability to exercise sound judgement.

Responsibilities

Serves as PIC or SIC, as assigned. As SIC, will support flight operation by assisting Captain of the flight.
Ensures that the aircraft is airworthy, maintenance preflight inspections have been accomplished, required documentation are onboard the aircraft, and that aircraft discrepancies have been appropriately addressed and recorded prior to commencing a flight
Prepares and files flight plans
Reviews and calculates the aircraft weight and balance, fuel and performance charts
Reviews weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points
Uses aircraft checklists and aircraft minimum equipment lists (MEL)
Supervises air and ground crew in preparation for a proposed trip
Provides for the safety and comfort of passengers, and meet all expectations, need, and requests, within the limits of sound operational procedures
Performs proper safety briefings including onboard emergency equipment and evacuation procedures to all unfamiliar passengers
Ensures that an aircraft postflight inspection is complete, flight times are recorded accurately, and that discrepancies encountered inflight are recorded for maintenance corrective action
Ensures thorough completion of all required aircraft forms, logs, reports, expense accounts, payroll time, required company and department LMS (learning management system).
Maintains required aviation knowledge and proficiency through completion of assigned training and continued self-study.
