Assemblies can require controlled tooling as well as build to print. Tasks include aligning parts on jigs using both templates and fixtures. Must also be able to drill close tolerance holes. Performs part-fitting operations such as minor filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working. Measures parts with a variety of methods to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes and perform repairs. Works from blueprint diagrams, drawings, specifications, and shop orders. Monitors and verifies quality and develops corrective action. Performs other duties as assigned. No relocation assistance provided. Preforms corrosion inspection and repair per engineering requirements. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Requirements

  • 3 years or more of demonstrated hands on experience in aviation, manufacturing, and/or assembly.
  • Experience with reading blueprints and interpreting specifications and/or technical publications.
  • Experience with basic hand tools (drills, torque wrench and inspections tools), as well as perform, install specialty fasteners, conduct complex rework/repairs, and use precision instruments.
  • Experience with locating holes from blueprints by hand lay out, required tooling, and/or technology-based platforms.
  • High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education
