About the position

Segula Technologies is seeking skilled professionals for assembly operations in the aerospace sector. The role involves performing complex assembly on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems such as landing gear, control surfaces, interior panels, galleys, lavatories, doors, and seats. Candidates will utilize their in-depth knowledge to troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components, as well as replace components. The position requires thorough knowledge of aircraft structural modifications and repairs, ensuring the correct functionality of non-complex electrical systems. Additionally, candidates will operate various aircraft tools and perform detailed tasks such as pull holes, back drilling, riveting, fastener removals, sleeve bolt drilling, and installation of systems, wires, and tubes. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, specifications, and retrofit requirements for structural modifications and repairs is essential. Maintaining necessary certifications, licenses, and permits for assigned tasks is also required. The role demands the use of high-impact tools and physical work that may require bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, including First Pass Quality (FPQ), is crucial, along with conducting work inspections to check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD).

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex assembly on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge to troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components.
  • Apply thorough knowledge of aircraft structural modifications and repairs.
  • Ensure the correct functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
  • Operate various aircraft tools, including torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.
  • Perform detailed tasks like pull holes, back drilling, riveting, fastener removals, sleeve bolt drilling, and installation of systems, wires, and tubes.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, specifications, and retrofit requirements.
  • Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits for assigned tasks.
  • Use vibratory tools like rivet guns and other equipment for precision work.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience with on-aircraft heavy structural work.
  • 5+ years in an MRO/Repair Station, AOG, or Travel MODS environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with aircraft assembly removal and restoration.
  • Ability to identify common tools and equipment.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing detailed work instructions, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
  • Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts).
