Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Aircraft Production Test Electrical + Test Heavy Assemblers (Level B or Level C) to assist with multiple areas of the 787 production system in North Charleston, South Carolina on a variable shift! This role offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic manufacturing assembly environment. Team members will leverage their prior experience, and the knowledge gained from training and certifications to complete daily assigned tasks effectively. Individuals will be responsible for identifying their work locations on advanced airplanes, parts, and tooling by interpreting intricate drawings to accurately complete detailed work instructions. Attention to detail and procedure compliance is critical to identify all necessary hand tools, parts, and equipment required to ensure defect-free work. Primary Responsibilities: Safety: Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines to protect ourselves, our colleagues, and our workplace. Quality: Maintaining rigorous quality standards in all deliverables, ensuring that our work meets or exceeds expectations and complies with all regulatory and company requirements. Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications. Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment. Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications. Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task performed. Operate various mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts). Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers. Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes. Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris. Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise. Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other). Lifting and carrying up to 10-35 pounds. Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting). Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking. Perform functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components as well as perform aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair. Assess and document test or analysis data to show compliance. Perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. Identify roadblocks and production constraints escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication. Support teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross training and mentoring. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite. This position must meet export control compliance requirements.
