About The Position

Supports the Satellite Communications Chief and Director of Command, Control and Communications Infrastructure at the Department of Defense Office of the Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO) as an Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) subject matter expert. Possess knowledge in the current AISR architectures employed by the DoD with a specific focus on ground and ground relay solutions. Possesses excellent writing and speaking skills to participate in senior leader governance and decision forums. Knowlege of the Programming, Planning and Budgeting Execution System (PPBES) is mandatory. Understands the DoD's Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process to track resourcing against validated AISR requirements. Telework is not supported. Travel is required.

Requirements

  • Must have at least fifteen (15) years of experience.
  • Must have experience with Programming, Planning and Budgeting Execution System (AISR), Programming, Planning and Budgeting Execution System (PPBES), and Program Objective Memorandum (POM).
  • Master's Degree
  • TS/SCI

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Satellite Communications Chief and Director of Command, Control and Communications Infrastructure at the Department of Defense Office of the Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO) as an Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) subject matter expert.
  • Expected knowledge in the current AISR architectures employed by the DoD with a specific focus on ground and ground relay solutions.
  • Must have excellent writing and speaking skills to participate in senior leader governance and decision forums.
  • Knowlege of the Programming, Planning and Budgeting Execution System (PPBES) is mandatory.
  • Expected to understand the DoD's Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process to track resourcing against validated AISR requirements.
  • Expected to travel several times a year to AISR conferences and author engagement reports for all conferences and meetings as well as point papers to inform senior leaders.
  • All work is performed in-person at the Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia.
