About The Position

The Air Traffic Control Specialist (Traffic Management Coordinator) at the Salt Lake TRACON is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective traffic management within a Level 10 facility. This role involves maintaining safe and expeditious traffic flow, assessing facility capacity, and implementing traffic management initiatives in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

• Must be facility rated or area certified in a CPC/TMC/TMS at an ATO terminal/en route facility.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must submit an SF50 to verify employment status.

Responsibilities

• Ensure traffic management instructions and restrictions are initiated according to established procedures.
• Assess facility capacity and project acceptable levels of traffic.
• Issue appropriate traffic flow restrictions to adjacent facilities to manage aircraft distribution and workload.
• Maintain awareness of traffic flow, equipment status, airport/weather conditions, and traffic forecasts.
• Stay current on required positions of operation and all phases of facility operations.
