About The Position

The Air Traffic Control Specialist (Staff Support Specialist) serves as a key support role within the Terminal facility, responsible for providing tactical, strategic, and administrative support across various program areas including training, quality control, traffic management, and safety management systems. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the air traffic control field and the National Airspace System, enabling the specialist to analyze and develop new methods and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Must have held an FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year.
• Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year in an ATS facility.
• Must have held an MSS position for at least 1 year in an ATS facility.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the ATC field and the National Airspace System.
• Ability to communicate clearly and tailor messages to target audiences.

• Experience with hardware/software related to air traffic control.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical, strategic, and administrative support for multiple program areas.
• Maintain and improve operational material and resources within assigned specialties.
