About The Position

Crown is searching for Safety Risk Management Specialist to coordinate a safety management system for radar system implementation, facilitating hazard identification and safety risk analysis, monitoring safety risk controls, ensuring safety promotion, and reporting on SMS performance. Responsibilities: Responsible for coordinating SMS implementation, facilitating hazard identification and safety risk analysis, monitoring safety risk controls, ensuring safety promotion, and reporting on SMS performance. Conduct safety risk assessments, identifying hazards, analyzing risk likelihood and severity, and proposing risk mitigations. Coordinate the results of their assessments within their respective organizations and with management as appropriate. Responsible for ensuring the quality of participation by having a basic understanding of SRM prior to meetings. Tracks and manage safety issues that require cross-organizational attention, and elevate issues to Management when they determine that a cross-organizational approach is best. Initially, the SRM position working hours of employment will be dependent on equipment delivery schedules. Qualifications Crown’s safety risk management Specialist must be equipped with technical expertise in SRM processes, familiarity with FAA, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse organizational units to proactively manage safety risks Specialists must possess a combination of education, experience, and specific competencies aligned with the FAA's Safety Management System (SMS) framework Knowledge of The FAA's internal SMS program, established through Order 5200.11 and supported by policies like FAA Order 8040.4, FAA’s Safety Risk Management Policy, to integrate SRM into daily operations, site surveys, site design and implementation. Specialists involved in SRM are expected to have a thorough understanding of FAA regulations, including Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) as a Plus, and be proficient in applying SRM principles throughout the organization’s decision-making processes Specialist must demonstrate the ability to conduct risk assessments, interpret safety data, and communicate findings effectively to decision-makers Specialists are expected to possess critical thinking, situational awareness, and the ability to exercise sound judgment when evaluating risks and alternatives. As a plus, the Specialist possess experience in the FAA Air Traffic Control System for use with Radar Systems.
