About The Position

The Vapor Recovery In Use Section has a vacancy for an Air Resources Technician II who is interested in working in the field, warehouse, and office. The successful candidate will assist staff with: (i) performing certification testing of abrasive products used for permissible dry outdoor blasting; (ii) collecting, tabulating, and analyzing emissions test data; (iii) assisting in certifying independent contractors and vapor recovery equipment; (iv) performing maintenance, calibration, and repair of abrasive blasting, vapor recovery, and source test equipment and instruments; and (v) preparing and reviewing segments of regulatory documents, executive orders, reports, and correspondence. The duties may also include assisting in conducting tests at gasoline terminals, gas stations, hydrogen fueling stations, and various stationary sources; undertaking or assisting in investigations to determine causes of problems with vapor recovery systems; and evaluating and determining whether vapor recovery systems or components should continue to be certified. The candidate must be physically able to work in an industrial environment including exposure to air emissions, fumes and heat, perform heavy lifting, climb and work at elevated heights, and handle heavy equipment and gas cylinders. This position will require the employee to pass a pre-placement physical examination as a condition of employment and to be certified annually to wear a respirator.

Requirements
