About The Position

AECOM is seeking an entry-level Air Quality Technician to support clients with stack testing needs across various sectors. This role emphasizes hands-on mechanical training and experience, focusing on emissions sampling and data analysis within the Environment Business Line.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• US citizenship is required due to the nature of work.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required for site visits.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review and a substance abuse test.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in maintaining and operating mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel.
• Associate's Degree in Industrial Technology or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred.
• Experience in environmental testing or analytical laboratory work is desired.
• Knowledge of practices to generate valid scientific data.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated source testing experience within South Coast Air Quality Management District.

Responsibilities

• Conduct source testing and emissions sampling.
• Review laboratory data and prepare test plans and reports.
• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Travel to project sites and clients as required.
