About The Position

AECOM is seeking a new member to join AECOM’s Ambient Air Monitoring (AAM) Group based in our Austin, Texas office. This position is expected to begin in March 2026. The successful candidate will be a part of the AAM Data Analysis team, primarily working independently but regularly interfacing with their fellow team members, AECOM managers, clients, and contractors. As a member of the AAM Data Analysis Team, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: Accumulate, organize, prepare, process, and validate air quality and meteorological ambient and calibration data using guidance documents and SOPs. Assess and analyze data quality. Investigate and explore spatial and temporal characteristics of the data. Perform statistical and descriptive analyses. Generate and explain summary results. Assist in writing reports and proposals. Analyze and validate chromatography. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve instrument problems affecting data quality. Act as a resource to clients to answer technical questions and address appropriate issues.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Chemistry, Atmospheric or Environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required.

  • Experience with Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and chromatogram analysis.
