In this role, you will administer and lead air quality programs and reporting within the Environmental Protection (EP) group across multiple assigned districts within the Colorado and Utah Market Area. You will assist EP, Engineering, Operations, and Landfill Gas Operations personnel with technical guidance on air quality and landfill gas topics and regulatory environments. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and investigating compliance status, coordinating and submitting required air quality and landfill gas reports, and maintaining air quality data within WM tracking systems. You will also act as the main point of contact for inspections and regulatory authority communications regarding air-related incidents and permit applications. This position requires a proactive approach to developing, coordinating, and overseeing district EP air-related sampling/testing, investigations, assessments, guidance, and reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with air permit and air quality regulatory requirements for district sites, while also maintaining a working knowledge of federal and state air quality regulations related to solid waste and landfill operations. Your role will involve identifying local, state, and federal regulatory impacts to operations, ensuring that the company adheres to all necessary environmental protection standards.
