Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety or related discipline.
  • Professional accreditation (ASP, CSP, CIH) accredited certification in at least one of the following areas: industrial hygiene (IH), industrial/occupational safety, fire prevention, accident investigation and dangerous goods; minimum one year in department before advancement.
  • One (1) year safety related experience.
  • Proficient in FEC computer systems and in-depth understanding of departmental databases being able to conduct causation analysis.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety regulations and related standards (OSHA).
  • Strong investigative, analytical, communications and human relations skills.
  • Understanding of the aviation industry and its components.
  • Capable of leading complex inter-company projects with minimum management supervision; trains lower level specialist.
