About The Position

This National Guard position is for an AIR OPERATION GROUP TRAINING SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1931000 and is part of the Florida National Guard. As an Air Operation Group Training Specialist, GS-1702-09, you will oversee, monitor, and evaluate military/ancillary training requisites for the unit. This includes on-the-job training (OJT) and formal training, including Air Operations Center (AOC) formal schools' acquisition and scheduling. Subject matter areas for which training is administered involve a wide variety of technical, professional, clerical, and operational skills commonly found in an Air Operations Group organization. You will advise the Commander, training officers, and supervisors on the status, progress, and programming of training. Additionally, you will plan, compile, and forward training projections to the Host Wing and NGB, MAJCOM agencies, monitor and review all training applications to ensure proper documentation, justification, and qualifications, and coordinate with higher headquarters on matters pertaining to formal school training quotas.

Requirements

  • Must have demonstrated the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 level or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs.
  • Experience in training techniques, task analysis, curriculum development, and training evaluations.
  • Effective writing skills and experience in instructional media application.
  • Experience in scheduling training events and facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.
  • Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques.

Responsibilities
