About The Position

Based in the Carlsbad, NM area, you will join Trihydro’s Air and Process Services Team, supporting air quality monitoring programs focused on optical gas imaging (OGI) and quantitative emissions monitoring. In this role, you will conduct regulatory field surveys, collect emissions data, and assist with preparing detailed compliance reports. This full-time position offers hands-on experience in air quality monitoring and environmental compliance while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role involves up to 50% regional travel and provides opportunities to develop technical, regulatory, and project management skills. Work safely and efficiently in industrial and outdoor environments, often involving extended walking, standing, and work at heights. Adapt to varying weather conditions and field schedules (approximately 40–45 hours per week with flexible hours).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience in the environmental industry.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and geologists.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and related software tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a commitment to safe operations.
  • Willingness to travel regionally to client sites and other Trihydro offices as needed.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and reliable employment history.

Responsibilities

  • Perform air quality regulatory and compliance monitoring, including OGI and related emissions measurement activities.

  • Develop project management and client service skills through direct project involvement.
