About The Position

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Customs Clearance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate customs clearance activities in our customs house brokerage or gateway environment. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported and exported products. The Customs Clearance Supervisor will manage daily operations within the department, ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies, ISO guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements. The position emphasizes providing excellent customer service through timely and accurate processing, as well as compliance with government regulations and company policies. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling all management and financial reports for the department, regularly assessing profitability and growth in collaboration with operations. You will work closely with operations to establish business plans and goals for the department, while also developing and maintaining excellent service to both internal and external customers. Ensuring that independent service commitments of CEVA import clients are met and compliant declarations are made to U.S. Customs and related regulatory groups will be a key focus. You will serve as the primary interface with Customs and other federal agencies to ensure compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations. This includes overseeing the preparation of U.S. Customs documentation, communicating with customs officials to obtain the release of incoming freight, and resolving any delays. You will also be responsible for monitoring team performance, conducting training for new staff, and providing guidance and advice as necessary. The Customs Clearance Supervisor will maintain a high level of expertise in all areas of breakbulk, import, or export through self-study and participation in relevant seminars and courses.
