Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent required
  • Successful candidates must pass a background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department's needs
  • Must be able to commute to the city of Hawthorne, CA
  • Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast pace and professional business environment
  • Flexible with schedule to support business needs in the operation

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service - both internal/external whether verbal or email
  • Effective interpersonal skills - ability to relate to internal peers at different levels as well as external customers and vendors
  • Ability to work without constant supervision - self motivation and attention to detail required
  • Maintaining positive relationships with immediate counterparts in the air export departments in the region, airlines, truckers, ground handlers, etc.
  • Maintains constant communication with warehouse staff during consolidation to ensure shipment quality and compliance
  • Responsible for daily updating and monitoring of various reporting tools and rates from vendors
  • Detailed attention to accounting to ensure we are paying our bills timely and correctly
  • Responsible for the management of our capacity through posted consolidation schedules and in booking additional space as needed
  • Complete required training associated with specialized cargo: dangerous goods, temp control, LATAM for all types of cargo being handled
