About The Position
As an Air Export Forwarding Agent specializing in Dangerous Goods at FedEx Logistics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality service for our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide consistent customer service and efficient shipment processing to guarantee the timely movement of freight and cargo. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with customers' front-line personnel across various operating divisions and subsidiaries, ensuring that their needs are met with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. In this position, you will be tasked with preparing, analyzing, and submitting documentation to the appropriate parties, including agents and clients, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to transportation. You will need to anticipate, identify, and resolve any issues that could potentially delay the timely release or movement of freight. Maintaining relationships with correspondent brokers, T&B, and other service providers will be essential to ensure that our agents exceed customer service requirements. You will also be responsible for resolving banking and letter of credit problems, advising customers on payment terms, and ensuring that invoicing and vendor payments are billed accurately. Accurate data input and corrections into computer files will be part of your daily tasks, along with developing rates and providing quotes for the movement of freight. You will engage with clients regarding billing disputes, shipment statuses, and the development of new lanes to improve service. Your role will include coordinating customer booking requests, setting up new shippers, assisting with restricted articles submission, and completing import/export documentation in accordance with international trade regulations. You will dispatch carriers for pickups, track and trace shipments, and handle Hazmat shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The incumbent is expected to perform all other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and the satisfaction of our customers.
