About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to support Air Dominance and Fighters programs located in Berkeley, MO. The Air Dominance portfolio includes exciting products such as F15 Eagle, F/A-18 Super Hornet, EA-18 Growler, MQ-25 Stingray, and the T7 Redhawk. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing systems engineering and integration throughout the life cycle of these various Air Dominance programs. The supported programs are in different program life cycle stages (development, production, and sustainment). The position requires the ability to closely coordinate with the domestic and foreign customers, engineering leadership, and various engineering teams throughout different stages of the product life cycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR work-related experience with a Masters.

Nice To Haves

  • Education/experience in 1 or more of the following: Cameo, MSOSA, Rhapsody, DOORS.
  • Education/experience in 1 or more of the following: SysML and/or UML modeling languages.
  • Experience with safety engineering analysis and/or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working with development system design requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
