About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Air Defense Lead Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will serve as an Engineering lead for operational sustainment of large-scale air surveillance system. This position is located in Ramstein AFB, Germany (International Assignment) NO REMOTE WORK

Requirements

  • Domain knowledge sufficient to assess/document performance of modern air defense systems, e.g., threat characteristics, engagement sequences and timelines; air domain situation awareness and decision support for operators; sensor coverage
  • Possess thorough knowledge of air defense system design and maintenance, fault isolation, performance monitoring, configuration management standards, principles, and techniques.
  • Previous experience with cUAS system integration and development, radar systems development and integration, command and control systems development and integration, requirements development, and V&V.
  • Experience with Technical Baseline of requirements, compliance, and policy for a Theater wide Air Domain Control and Communications System
  • Experience with data & network infrastructure supporting an operational air defense system and integrated communication network
  • Familiarity with data analysis scripting tools such as python or MATLAB and compiled software languages such a Java or C
  • Strong interpersonal skills, be customer oriented, and must operate independently
  • Highly evolved writing and briefing skills
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical field plus 10+ years of relevant experience.

  • Familiarization with type II hypervisors
  • Familiarization with Joint All Domain Command and Control methods and architecture
  • Familiarization with US and NATO Military Air Operations and Joint Air Battle Management
  • Familiarization with Cross Domain Solutions and Communications
  • IAT level II or IAM Level I+ certifications
  • Familiarity with secure cloud computing and centralized networks
  • Familiarity with failover server architecture and bugout conops

Responsibilities

  • Perform system engineering, special studies, analyses, and evaluations
  • Conduct systems modernization, integration, analysis, and sustainment, and enterprise architecture process evaluation
  • Maintaining Information System Compliance for an integrated communication network
  • Briefing and generating briefing information for military leadership and partner military leadership
  • Support field service representatives at user sites throughout Europe
