Job Title: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC) Mechanic Job Code: 32446 Job Location: Canoga Park, CA. Job Schedule: 1st Shift 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off (6:00am - 3:30pm) Job Description: Looking for an experienced HVAC professional who can work in a fast-paced environment, is self-motivated, and a positive team member.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred with 3 years minimum HVAC work experience
  • Must be certified for removal and recharging of refrigerants.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced and knowledgeable with logic control systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of operation & maintenance of centrifugal chillers and central plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and overhaul commercial/industrial air conditioning, refrigeration, heating systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine, periodic or special inspection of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
  • Repair, replace, fit and install any internal mechanical part of an HVAC system.
  • Charge systems with refrigerant and test system for leaks and proper operation.
  • Accurately record data into the computerized systems.
  • Interpret drawings, manuals, blueprints, sketches, job orders and be guided by shop practice.
  • Drive Powered Industrial Vehicles including forklifts and scooters
  • Work in confined spaces and on elevated work platforms.
  • Read / follow work instructions and multitask
  • Be customer service oriented and work in a teaming environment.
  • Ability to work weekends.
