About The Position
Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. This position involves supervising inmate workers involved in the new construction, rehabilitation, repair, and maintenance of the institution's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The incumbent will perform routine preventive maintenance on systems that operate continuously and must possess skills and knowledge to use measuring instruments and tools required; work with blueprints and drawings and be able to plan and lay out work, ensuring that materials and related items will meet code requirements. Maintaining security and control of the work area by maintaining key and inmate accountability is also a critical responsibility.
