About The Position

The Air Conditioning Mechanic Supervisor at the Buffalo Medical facility is responsible for overseeing the repair, modification, installation, and maintenance of various utility systems and equipment. This role involves managing a maintenance program, planning and organizing work for technicians, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supervising HVAC&R staff to maintain operational efficiency and safety within the facility.

Requirements

  • Current Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved CFC Universal Certification.
  • Evidence of training or experience relevant to the duties of the position, demonstrating knowledge, skills, and abilities in HVAC systems.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and specifications, including blueprint reading.
  • Experience in leading or supervising equipment assembly, installation, and repair.
  • Knowledge of materials and technical practices related to HVAC systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with regulatory compliance in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage an effective maintenance program for the Buffalo Medical Center.
  • Ensure timely completion and reporting of maintenance activities.
  • Plan and organize work for assigned technicians on a day-to-day, monthly, and long-term basis.
  • Schedule and oversee both short and long-term projects, including equipment repairs and replacements.
  • Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences for maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the shop.
  • Institute preventive maintenance procedures for new equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and safety standards.
  • Create and present reports as required by the department and regulatory agencies.
  • Supervise work performed by HVAC&R staff based on priorities and regulatory compliance.
