BSEt, a subsidiary of Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX), an Alaska Native Corporation, is currently recruiting for the position of Air Combat Training SME/Range Training Officer (RTO). This position is located at Andersen AFB, Guam, and is a Full Time, Exempt position. This position will report to the Site Manager. JOB SUMMARY: The Air Combat Training SME/Range Training Officer (RTO) directly supports on-site planning, execution, and debrief portions of Large Force Exercises and flying operations. The position is expected to contribute at Subject Matter Expert level to enhance and advance the combat training during local training missions and preparation for training deployments. Selected candidates will coordinate efforts with aircrews and Air Combat Training Systems technical experts to ensure mission planning is compatible with mission requirements. Most importantly, the position will facilitate combat training by providing real-time kill removal to increase realism of air-to-air sorties and may train aircrews to perform as RTOs and scribes on ICADS systems and sub-systems. Prior rated experience is required, and applicant must meet AFMAN 13-212 requirements for RTO. Formal RTO training is highly desired (must know and understand air-to-air and surface-to-air threat parameters and be able to provide guidance/feedback to aircrew and threat operators). Training for certification and operations of current systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree highly desired
  • Five (5) years of verifiable leadership experience desired
  • Must meet AFMAN 13-212 requirements for RTO - must possess "rated mission expertise" in the activity being performed or have Air Battle Manager/Weapons Director experience working with 4th/5th Generation Fighter aircraft
  • Must meet the eligibility for a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance IAW Director Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 1/14
  • Hours worked will be determined by flying schedule with potential for extended hours during surge operations
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to travel in support of ACTS contract obligations
  • Conversant with the following publications (and relevant supplements) or subjects: AFMAN 11-202V3 – General Flight Rules
  • AFI 11-214 – Air Operations Rules and Procedures
  • Aircraft specific Air Force 11-2MDS operating procedures
  • AFMAN 13-212V1, as supplemented – Range Planning and Operations
  • Be fluent in technical aircraft and electronic terminology
  • Be competent and proficient in preparing and presenting written and oral presentations and reports

Responsibilities

  • Interface with Site Manager and Government representatives for site specific support issues, including scheduling, planning, and exercise coordination.
  • Attend scheduling meetings and conferences in order to ensure required support, if/as directed
  • Perform RTO duties to include air-to-air and surface-to-air scenarios in accordance with the latest Air Force Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures
  • Create Live/Constructive scenarios and monitor scenario progression to ensure threats are operating in accordance with local guidance/scenario specific plans
  • Provide debrief information regarding threats and RTO results
  • Routinely update RTO materials and procedures. Ensure in depth knowledge of latest AFTTP’s regarding RTO, air-to-air, and surface-to-air weapons employment
  • Coordinate with off-site units for operations support and debrief coordination if required
  • As required, travel to other locations for short duration for regional exercises and/or subject matter expert support
  • Assist with development of daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
  • Other tasks as required in coordination with the Site Manager
