About The Position

The Air Cargo Office Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of cargo shipments and compliance with air carrier regulations. This position involves data entry, preparation of flight documents, and interaction with U.S. Customs, while adhering to security protocols and maintaining operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
• Valid driver's license and Port Authority or Airport Authority permit (if applicable)
• Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
• Ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge
• Ability to concentrate on detail
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service or sales
• Familiarity with cargo handling procedures
• Knowledge of air carrier regulations

Responsibilities

• Retrieve import/deliver export documents
• Report to work on a regular and timely basis
• Compile lists of customers for use as sales leads
• Solicit orders or talk with customers to complete sales
• Quote prices and terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
• Estimate date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of company's delivery schedules
