About The Position

The Air Cargo Office Agent at Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of cargo shipments and luggage while adhering to safety and security protocols. This position involves data entry, preparing flight documents, interfacing with U.S. Customs, and managing import/export documentation. The agent is responsible for handling cargo in compliance with air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations, as well as engaging with customers to facilitate sales and service delivery.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age if driving cargo handling equipment is required.
• Valid driver's license and Port Authority or Airport Authority permit (if applicable).

• Ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge effectively.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive all cargo handling equipment as required.
• Retrieve import and deliver export documents to and from aircraft.
• Report to work on a regular and timely basis.
• Prepare all flight documents and interface with U.S. Customs.
• Prepare all import and export documentation and accept/distribute cargo according to regulations.
• Comply with WFS site security procedures and report any security breaches or suspicious occurrences.
• Solicit orders and communicate with customers to complete sales.
• Quote prices and terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Estimate delivery dates based on company schedules.
• Maintain a list of customers for sales leads.
