About The Position

We're pioneering the next generation of AI-powered observability solutions. While we innovate to build new solutions, we also leverage industry-standard open-source technologies when needed. In this role, you'll be a technical leader, collaborating with other senior engineers to design, develop and deploy cutting-edge observability solutions for our AIML products and infrastructure. You will also provide technical guidance, leverage AI pipelines, and mentor the team to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years software engineering experience with a strong background in computer science, distributed systems, algorithms, and data structures.
• Strong coding skills in Go, Javascript, Java, and Python.
• Experience in designing and building large scale enterprise observability solutions for data collection, storage, visualization, and incident management.
• Experience in building visualization solutions with an understanding of cloud-native visualization frameworks such as Grafana and Datadog.
• Experience in observability collection solutions using time series metrics, distributed traces, logs, and profiles.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native technologies such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Jaeger.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as EKS, S3, and native Kubernetes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills for collaboration.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in building micro-services using public cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience in delivering well-architected, reliable, highly-scalable cloud-native distributed systems.
• Experience in building large-scale incident management, alert management, and notification systems.
• Experience using Gen AI LLMs and ML models for AI compute and model observability.
• Active contributions to cloud-native open source projects.
• Proficiency in using cloud-native software development tools including coding, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-native observability solutions for Search, AIML Infrastructure, and Apple Intelligence products.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and deploy observability solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
• Leverage AI pipelines in the development of observability solutions.
• Innovate and build new observability solutions while utilizing open-source technologies.
