About The Position

Apple's AIML residency is a year-long program designed for experts in various fields to apply their domain expertise in the development of innovative machine learning and AI-based products and experiences. Residents will engage in hands-on projects, collaborate with established Research Scientists, and have opportunities to publish their research while learning from mentors at Apple.

Requirements

• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Objective-C, C++, Swift, and/or R.
• Experience completing a moderate-sized software project.
• Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with others.
• Graduate degree in a STEM field or equivalent industry experience in software engineering.

Nice To Haves

• Academic, research, or industry experience in Human-AI Interaction, Behavioral Science, Cognitive Science, LLMs/Generative AI, or Statistics/Econometrics.
• Thesis, capstone project, internship, co-op, or proven experience in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of Research Scientists to tackle research problems combining domain expertise with AI and machine learning.
• Contribute to existing research projects by leveraging unique backgrounds and expertise.
• Attend ML and AI courses to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with fellow residents and Apple teams across hardware, software, and services.
• Publish research findings in premier academic conferences.
