About The Position

Apple's AIML residency is a year-long program designed for experts in various fields to apply their domain expertise in machine learning and AI to innovate and build revolutionary products and experiences. Residents will engage in hands-on projects, attend courses, and collaborate with mentors and peers, contributing to high-impact initiatives within the Body-sensing Intelligence Group (BIG). This program aims to enhance user experiences through groundbreaking technologies in wearable sensing hardware and multi-modal machine learning.

Requirements

• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Objective-C, C++, Swift, and/or R.
• Experience completing a moderate-sized software project.
• Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with others.
• Graduate degree in a STEM field or equivalent industry experience in software engineering.

Nice To Haves

• Academic, research, or industry experience in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, Large Language Models / Generative AI, Machine Learning & ML Research, Natural Language Processing/Speech/Conversational AI, Neuroscience, or Sensors / Signal Processing.
• Exposure to audio-visual data processing.
• Background in multi-modal, multi-task machine learning, time-series data processing, and representation learning.
