About The Position

This role will focus on data governance of investment data within AIM US. You will be part of a team fostering a data management culture, continuously striving to improve, monitor, measure and control data quality to meet local and global organizational reporting and analytical needs. You will define processes across investment data integrity, technical infrastructure, and reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring data quality and consistency across the investment systems and the local data warehouse. Tasks include implementing controls to ensure accurate reporting, executing data quality checks, designing and maintaining data quality standards, and integrating best practices for effective data management. You will report to the AIM AVP - Investment Operations.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in the investment industry or relevant internship experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, data science or related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, passion for data.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data quality and maintain data accuracy and consistency between the investments system (Aladdin), accounting system (PAM) and the local data warehouse.
  • Design and perform data quality checks and controls.
  • Conduct reconciliations of investment data across systems and resolve discrepancies.
  • Enhance and improve incomplete or incorrect data.
  • Maintain portfolio setup ensuring consistency and timely updates of portfolio data across the systems.
  • Collaborate with investment teams to define reporting business requirements and support development, testing and implementation in the local data warehouse.
  • Enhance existing PowerBI data models to support investment management and operations reporting.
  • Support investment management teams with investment data analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Create, manage, and continually improve a culture that enables trust in data, information-on-demand and scheduled/ad-hoc reports for investment management, investment operation teams and other stakeholders.
