About The Position

Primary Purpose: Assist in providing behavioral and/or social/emotional skill support to students with disabilities in the school environment. Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans, as written, assist in delivering social skill instruction, and record/maintain behavioral and social skill data. Assist in providing crisis intervention, as needed. Work under the immediate direction of a certified teacher and general supervision of the campus principal.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate or willing to obtain certificate
• SAMA certification (or able to obtain after hire)
• Ability to work with children with disabilities
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of general office equipment

Nice To Haves

• Two years' experience working with school-aged children preferred?
