About The Position

The Aide position in AOH Radiology at Aultman Health Foundation is a full-time role responsible for facilitating and coordinating patient care in assigned rooms. The role involves various tasks such as managing patient appointments, assisting with procedures, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of examination rooms. The Aide will also serve as a resource for the team, prioritizing tasks to optimize workflow and responding to emergencies as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR Certification.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 40 pounds every 5 minutes).
• Experience with suturing (1 year preferred).
• Ability to push/pull a cart weighing 150 pounds.
• Good physical and mental health.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coordinate rooms on assigned teams.
• Fax reports and release images to outside facilities.
• Call and confirm patient appointments and provide instructions.
• Help screen MRI patients.
• Cover desk during lunch and vacations.
• Administer oral contrast to CT patients.
• Assist in room clean-up and turnover.
• Assist in positioning of patients when applicable.
• Transport patients from the floor and ED, and transfer them onto exam tables.
• Prioritize the needs of assigned rooms to best utilize availability.
• Be available for emergencies that arise in assigned rooms.
• Organize and put away equipment and stock to specific areas.
• Serve as a resource person, problem solver, and facilitator for assigned rooms.
• Ensure all supplies and laundry are ready for remaining exams before leaving for the day.
• Maintain CPR certification.
