About The Position

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Primavera P6 Scheduler / Project Controls Engineer to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Primavera P6 Scheduler will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have excellent time management skills, good communicator, have excellent problem-solving skills, be team oriented, be customer service driven, and the ability to delegate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial construction projects experience with large design-build/EPC projects (domestic and internationally).
  • Experience in scheduling systems including schedule planning, schedule development, and schedule analysis.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Access (preferred).
  • Must have experience with Primavera.
  • Experience with water/wastewater projects is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, maintain a positive attitude, and have good organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple teams.
  • Ability to apply sensible understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide status, control, and progress reporting support services on technology-based programs and projects.
  • Develop various program, product, and functional level schedules, including the definition of critical path for acquisition, engineering, supportability, and staffing decisions.
  • Primavera P6 software implementation, time impact and delay analysis, and review of periodic schedule updates.
  • Analyze the validity of schedules submitted by outside parties contributing to the project.
  • Monitor actual progress, compare to baseline, and report progress against schedule.
  • Analyze and report productivity and trends.
  • Forecast the impacts on the schedule of proposed changes.
  • Recommend policy or procedural revisions that will improve or recover schedule accomplishment.
  • Examine records such as time, payrolls, operations charts, and schedules to obtain data.
  • Prepare and organize historical cost data into different formats.
  • Convert project estimate to budget.
  • Cost collection from the Business system.
  • Assist Project Managers with projected costs.
  • Perform cost flow analysis, accruals, etc.
  • Attend management, project team, and customer meetings as requested by the project manager.
  • Provide general project management support to the project manager and the team.
  • Collect detailed project status and generate status reports for the overall project.
  • Track project cost, work, and progress using Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and possibly Access.
  • Create and manage detailed project information related to contractual schedule, scope, and cost for submission to program management staff for review and approval.
  • Produce comprehensive schedules in various formats and details to suit different users or audiences.
  • Assist management, project managers, and colleagues to understand and accept scheduling concepts, theory, and alternative approaches in scheduling project activities.
  • Archive actual schedule achievements to estimate similar future projects.
  • Train and supervise others in the art of scheduling and the use of the designated software, as needed.
