Key Responsibilities: AI Training & Communications Intern Remote within the US World Vision Internships offer a three-month opportunity for talented students and recent graduates eager to dive into the international relief and development field. We’re dedicated to giving you a meaningful learning experience, where you’ll grow, gain valuable skills, and connect with other passionate professionals who share our mission. Internship Opportunity As part of World Vision International's global IT department, the AI, Data, and Emerging Technologies team is revolutionizing how we leverage artificial intelligence across our humanitarian operations. We're scaling AI adoption across 33,000+ staff in 100+ countries, and we need passionate communicators and educators to help us make this transformation accessible and impactful for everyone. We've successfully deployed enterprise AI platforms, including ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude AI, and Microsoft Copilot Studio. Now we're focused on empowering our global workforce through comprehensive training programs. We need someone who can not only create training content but also curate existing materials, develop strategic training plans, and actively deploy learning programs that help staff confidently use AI in their daily work.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills: You can explain complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language for diverse audiences. You excel at both written and verbal communication
  • AI familiarity: You have hands-on experience with generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms. You understand their capabilities and limitations
  • Training or teaching interest: You're passionate about helping others learn and have experience creating educational content, presentations, or training materials (formal or informal)
  • Content creation ability: You can develop engaging written content, guides, presentations, or visual materials that make learning enjoyable and effective
  • Collaborative mindset: You thrive working with diverse teams in virtual environments and actively seek input from others to improve your work
  • Initiative and curiosity: You're a self-starter who asks thoughtful questions, identifies improvement opportunities, and takes ownership of your projects
  • Attention to detail: You produce high-quality, polished work and ensure accuracy in all communications and training materials
  • Adaptability: You're comfortable with ambiguity, can pivot when priorities shift, and maintain enthusiasm in a fast-paced environment
  • Empathy and inclusion: You consider diverse perspectives and create content that's accessible to people with varying levels of technical expertise

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (e.g., U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or F-1 student visa holder with valid work authorization) and possess a valid U.S. Social Security Number.
  • Able to commit to at least 24 hours per week for the entire internship period: 1 June – 28 August 2026
  • Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate programme (within 2 years).
  • Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.
  • Willingness to use own electronic devices for internship purposes, and disposition to let WVI install endpoint security software in those devices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with learning management systems, instructional design, or adult learning principles
  • Graphic design or video creation skills for developing engaging visual learning content
  • Data visualization experience (Power BI) for analyzing training effectiveness
  • Knowledge of change management or organizational adoption frameworks
  • Experience in NGO, nonprofit, or humanitarian sector contexts

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, curate, and deploy training materials for AI literacy and fluency programs across different skill levels
  • Create and deploy practical guides, quick-start documentation, and how-to resources for ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot Studio
  • Develop and curate training scenarios and use case examples relevant to humanitarian work contexts
  • Craft engaging communications about AI tools, capabilities, and best practices for internal channels.
  • Create announcements, newsletters, and updates for AI champions and the broader organization.
  • Develop clear, accessible content that explains technical AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Design infographics, tip sheets, and visual content that make AI adoption approachable.
  • Help manage content for World Vision's AI Community of Practice and knowledge-sharing platforms.
  • Organize and curate AI learning resources, FAQs, and best practice documentation
  • Support the AI champions network by creating resources and facilitating knowledge sharing
  • Monitor user questions and feedback to identify training needs and content gaps
  • Help maintain and update World Vision's AI intranet pages and learning portals
  • Contribute to building a library of practical AI use cases from across the organization
  • Research emerging AI trends, tools, and best practices relevant to humanitarian organizations
  • Analyze training participation data and user feedback to measure program effectiveness
  • Help identify training gaps and opportunities for improvement in our AI adoption strategy
  • Support evaluation of pilot programs and recommend improvements based on data insights
