Peraton is seeking an AI Technology Enablement Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding the adoption, integration, and operational use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies across a State and Local government program. This role ensures AI capabilities are implemented in a secure, ethical, transparent, and compliant manner to improve public services, operational efficiency, and constituent outcomes. Will serve as a Trusted Advisor to agency leadership, program stakeholders, and technical teams, the AI Technology Enablement Lead translates emerging AI capabilities into practical, mission-aligned solutions while ensuring alignment with public-sector regulations, data privacy requirements, and accessibility standards. Key Responsibilities: AI Strategy & Public-Sector Enablement • Lead the development and execution of AI enablement strategies aligned with State and Local government priorities, policies, and funding constraints. Partner with agency leadership to identify high-impact AI use cases that improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. • Develop multi-year AI roadmaps that align with agency modernization, digital transformation, and smart government initiatives. Technology Integration & Implementation • Oversee the integration of AI tools, platforms, and services into existing State and Local IT environments, including legacy systems. •Collaborate with data, cloud, cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, and sustainable. •Support pilots and proofs-of-concept (POCs), transitioning successful initiatives into production with defined operational ownership. Governance, Ethics & Compliance •Establish and enforce responsible AI governance frameworks emphasizing transparency, fairness, explainability, and accountability. •Ensure compliance with State and Local regulations, public records laws, data privacy statutes, and open data policies. •Partner with Legal, Privacy, Risk, and Security stakeholders to assess AI risks and implement mitigation strategies.Change Management & Adoption •Drive AI adoption through structured change management, training programs, and stakeholder engagement. • Develop user enablement materials, standards, and best practices tailored to public-sector staff and agency workflows. •Promote AI literacy across agencies to ensure informed, responsible use of AI tools. Cross-Agency Collaboration & Vendor Management • Serve as a central coordination point across agencies, departments, and external partners for AI initiatives. • Support procurement and vendor evaluations, ensuring AI solutions meet government contracting, security, and accessibility requirements. •Track emerging AI technologies and recommend solutions that align with State and Local government needs and budgets.
